1978
.

With the formation of the Beijing Jeep Corporation,
China
’s first automotive joint venture was signed in May
1983
with DaimlerChrysler.
In early
2006
a new joint venture company called Beijing-Benz DaimlerChrysler Automotive (BBDC) started producing Mercedes-Benz E and C class cars.
